Exceptional Family Members Program (EFMP)


Exceptional Family Members Program Respite Care (EFMP) is a program for Air Force families who have children diagnosed with special needs.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • The family member is enrolled in the Air Force Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP)

  • The EFM child is diagnosed with severe or moderate special needs

  • EFM child's siblings ages birth through 12

  • Airman that are active duty, including activated Air Guard and Reserve, if activated for at least 31 days
